Lapsang Souchong Chicken
Use Smoky Tea (Lapsang Souchong) to cook with a chicken. Taste like BBQ and smell like camp fire.
Ingredients:
whole chicken, clean and leave its skin
6 teaspoonful of Lapsang Souchong
24 oz hot wate
2 heads of ginger root, diced
2 heads of garlic, smashed and diced
red onion, diced
sesame oil , 4 tablespoons
sherry 1/4 cup
soy sauce 1/4 cup
a bunch of green onion
cooking oil
procedures:
- use 2 tablespoon of sesame oil and some cooking oil to saute ginger root, garlic, red onion on a skillet till brown
- put a clean dry chicken in and add the rest of oil in. Maybe , add some cooking oil to brown a chicken thoroughly.
- leave it aside
- put in 6 tsp of tea leaves in 24 oz of boiling hot water, steep for 10 minutes.
-mix in soy and sherry to hot tea and stir
- pour mixtures to the chicken and cover till boil. Continue in low - heat till done.
-chop some green onion in a bowl, pour in some gravy and stir.
- Serve chicken with its own gravy.
