Candidates for Texas House District 134, State Representative Martha Wong (R) and challenger Ellen Cohen (D) will be at Té, 1927 Fairview St., this Thursday, October 19, at 8 pm.

Apart from the governor's race, the Houston Chronicle recently noted that District 134 is the most expensive and contentious race in the state, with over a combined 1 million dollars that have been raised since last week.

Montrose Blvd is the east boundary for District 134, which includes the Medical Center and West University.  Demographics also indicate that the area has the most college degrees for any district in the state as well.

Take this opportunity provided by Park Civic Association to meet two knowledgeable and well-versed candidates before voting on November 7th.

Note: this is is a meet and greet event, not a fund raiser.

Get Involved!

The elections are just around the corner - this November 7, as a matter of fact - so use this opportunity to learn more about your candidates, and the pressing issues facing your district, city, and state.  Be informed!
