Hurricane Ike has impacted and inconvenienced us all.  It seems like forever ago that Ike ripped through our city, throwing us all into the dark, including our store, and damaged hundreds of buildings, including our store sign and AC; but yes, it has only been a week and a half ago.  Our sign is still being repaired, but we are happy to report that as of yesterday, electricity was restored to our building and today the AC was fixed, so we are back in business - OPEN again!  We're very, very happy to be back in the community - our staff has been antsy to do something, even if they don't have power at their own home!

Please help us spread the word that Te House of Tea is open again, with power fully restored, AC, wireless, and of course plenty of teas and delicious fresh food.  Also, a lot of shipments have been waiting at the docks for us, so today we received a lot of new merchandise as well!

Waiting for our store to be repaired has reminded us of the virtue of patience, one of the virtues of tea as well: a drink to be enjoyed patiently, in peace and relaxation.  Please come and join us again in your favorite ritual - the chado, the ritual of tea.
