Té Lovers Newsletter Issue 2
Té House of Tea would again like to thank everyone who came to our Indonesian Night in support of the Red Cross relief effort. A packed house enjoyed authentic Indonesian cuisine, live drumming, and a rowdy trivia quiz. Your generous donations, in addition to a percentage of food and merchandise sales, totaled nearly $400. Please check out our website for upcoming cultural and charitable events.
The community is invited to two special engagements this weekend. On Saturday, August 12, the Bellaire Jazz Combo will perform at 8:30 P.M. And on Sunday, August 13, we will host a traditional Japanese tea ceremony at 3:30 P.M. The ceremony will be demonstrated by members of the Urasenke Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to preserving the tradition of ritual and tea, with their very meditative ceremony. We hope to see you there!
Finally, this month, we bid farewell and good luck to three employees headed to university. Thanks Alex, John, and Phillip for your artwork, quiches, and smiles!
